"Magical", "evocative" and a "masterclass in children's writing and illustrating" are just a few ways this stunning picture book has been described. And yes, you should believe the hype.

What is this picture book about?
Inspired by the author's own observations of the butterflies just outside her window, comes a story of a child's enchantment with the small cabbage white. They dance by the dozens among the flowers, slowly disappearing when shadows grow long.
As sleep calls, our little one wonders, "Where do butterflies go at night?"

An excerpt from the story
As clouds tumbled over blue mid-morning skies,
I spotted a crowd of small white butterflies.
I watched them sip nectar from thousands of flowers
And waltz 'round the branches in sun-sparkled hours.
They danced until dusk, shadows silently grew,
As flutter by flutter, they faded from view.
